Creative arts and education professional
My creative practice and professional career in the education sector share a common interest – the relationships between information and power, learning and opportunity. I’m interested in the way knowledge, data and systems can support (or undermine) our ability to be empowered and rounded citizens. Both my artwork and my ‘work-work’ are attempts to contribute positively in this field.
"It is people themselves who are filed away through lack of creativity, transformation, and knowledge. For apart from inquiry, apart from praxis, individuals cannot be truly human. Knowledge emerges only through invention and re-invention, through the restless, impatient, continuing, hopeful inquiry human beings pursue in the world, with the world, and each other."
